Ramen with Meat

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups chicken broth low sodium
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce low sodium
  • 1 tbsp mirin
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 packs ramen noodles fresh or instant, discard seasoning if using instant
  • 1 pork chop thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp cooking oil
  • 2 soft-boiled eggs peeled
  • 1 green onion thinly sliced
  • 1 sheet of nori cut into pieces
  • 1 tsp grated ginger

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, combine chicken broth, water, soy sauce, mirin, sesame oil, and grated ginger. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  • While the broth simmers, heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add cooking oil.
  • Add the thinly sliced pork chop to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through. Set aside.
  • Cook the ramen noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  • Divide the cooked noodles into two bowls.
  • Pour the hot broth over the noodles in each bowl.
  • Top each bowl with cooked pork, soft-boiled egg halves, green onion slices, and nori pieces.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade ramen with meat.

Notes

To add more flavor, you can marinate the pork slices with soy sauce and mirin for 30 minutes prior to cooking.
