optional (e.g., honey, sugar, maple syrup)
Instructions
Place 1 tsp of matcha powder into a small bowl.
Add 2 tbsp of hot water (175°F or 80°C) to the matcha powder and whisk with a matcha whisk (Chasen) until smooth and frothy, forming no lumps.
Heat the milk in a small saucepan over low-medium heat or using a milk frother until warm and frothy.
If using a sweetener, stir it into the warm milk until dissolved.
Pour the whisked matcha into a mug, followed by the warm and frothy milk. Stir gently to combine.
Optional: Top with extra foam or a dusting of matcha powder for decoration. Serve warm and enjoy!
