Greek Tacos

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground lamb or ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp oregano dried
  • 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon optional
  • 8 small flour tortillas
  • 1 cup tzatziki sauce store-bought or homemade
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup cucumber diced
  • 1/4 cup red onion sliced thinly
  • 1/4 cup kalamata olives sliced
  • 1/4 cup feta cheese crumbled
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  • Add ground lamb and cook, breaking up with a spoon, until fully browned, about 7-8 minutes.
  • Stir in minced garlic, oregano, ground cumin, and cinnamon (if using). Cook for 1-2 more minutes until fragrant.
  • Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until pliable.
  • Assemble the tacos by spreading a spoonful of tzatziki sauce onto each tortilla.
  • Add a portion of the cooked lamb, followed by cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, olives, and feta cheese.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace the ground lamb with spiced roasted chickpeas or grilled vegetables.
