  • Wooden spoon
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Knife
  • Chopping board

Ingredients

  • 500 g prawns peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp butter unsalted
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tsp lemon juice freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 tsp paprika optional, for a smoky flavor
  • to taste salt and black pepper
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Instructions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant and lightly golden.
  • Add the prawns to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until pink and fully cooked through. Remove prawns from the skillet and set aside.
  • Lower the heat to medium-low. Pour the heavy cream into the skillet and stir well with the garlic and butter mixture.
  • Add the Parmesan cheese, lemon juice, paprika, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir continuously to combine and allow the sauce to thicken slightly, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Return the cooked prawns to the skillet, tossing them in the creamy garlic sauce. Let simmer gently for another 2 minutes to heat through.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving. Enjoy while hot!

Notes

Serve with crusty bread, over pasta, or alongside steamed rice for a complete meal. Adjust garlic quantity to taste for a milder or stronger flavor.
