  • Peeler

Ingredients

  • 3 apples peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 tsp cinnamon ground
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg ground
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup raisins optional
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts optional
  • 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
  • 1 egg beaten

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the sliced apples, granulated sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the apples evenly.

  • Place the apple mixture in the center of the puff pastry, leaving about 2 inches of space along the edges.

  • Make small diagonal cuts on the top of the pastry for ventilation.
  • Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30-35 minutes or until golden and crisp.
  • Let the strudel cool slightly before slicing and serving.
